pump

Prior to the establishment of the trust, the Fox family established tree nurseries to supply seedlings for replanting trees cut down for firewood, as well as planting acres of Eucalyptus on their land to provide firewood.

Tree planting projects need to be continued indefinitely, and therefore need funding.

A water supply is quicker to solve by installation of bore holes and water pumps. Each bore hole costs US$3000 to dig and line, including the pump. Each water well would serve up to 100 houses.

Although some boreholes have been built, there are many more required. This is a continuing project, whereby quite a small investment can affect hundreds of lives.

All new buildings funded by the NGO have a water catchment and storage system built in to provide a volume of clean rain water.
